Gresham House opened its doors to Year 11 boarders in September 2014. Situated in one of the oldest parts of the School site, Gresham House has been sympathetically refurbished to provide spacious and modern accommodation whilst retaining the ancient building's character. For girls at this important stage of their school career, a separate house allows a very useful step in the transition to Sixth Form. The girls can develop more independence and have the support, guidance and space that is very important in this crucial GCSE year. The Year 11 boarders have attractive rooms for one, two or three girls, many with stunning views over the School buildings and the countryside beyond. They also have their own social areas and study facilities.
The ethos of Gresham is based on the Christian values of love and respect to create a safe and caring community where individuality can be celebrated and aspirations achieved. The boarding staff and I are here to help in whatever way we can.
As a Year 11 boarding house, Gresham provides an ideal foundation for the final GCSE year, with greater independence and privileges, and the chance to take on more responsibility ahead of the transition into Sixth Form.
