Our foundress Cornelia aspired for all girls to be educated to meet the needs of our age. In the ICT/Computing department it is our sole aim to ensure that all girls learn vital skills for the digital age.

The recently updated curriculum is designed to provide our Year 7 and 8 pupils with the skills they will need to support their learning in all areas of the curriculum. It is also designed to introduce subjects such as programming and business planning to help fuel their enthusiasm.

In Year 9, the girls embark on the British Computer Society qualification, ‘Application in IT Skills’. This is a level two qualification in which a distinction* can be achieved which is equivalent to a GCSE A* grade.

The ICT department aims to provide a diverse curriculum which encompasses a range of skills including digital literacy, computing and software proficiency.

The department also offers the opportunity for pupils to explore outside the curriculum through topics such as app development and coding.
