Safer Internet Day 2010

Tuesday 9 February

Safer Internet Day is an opportunity for all of us to reflect how we use the internet and mobile devices, and to think about how much care we take, and what steps we could take to protect ourselves better.

Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about something they come across online. Click on the link below to report any worries you may have.

European Safer Internet Day (SID) is supported by countries throughout Europe. The theme for SID10 is ‘Think Before You Post’ and this week (Monday 8th February – Friday 12th February 2010) a range of activities will be taking place across the continent and in the UK to help protect young people online.

Click <here> to find out how we've been taking part at Mayfield.

Click on the links below to find out more about SID, and about what can be done to promote internet safety among children and young people.

If you have come across something online which concerns you, you can report it to the police using the link below.
