What is Mayfield SPARK?
Mayfield SPARK was established in 2014 with the aim of offering children in the local community a variety of creative, sporting and academic opportunities. The programme started with SPARK Dance, a Saturday morning class during term-times for girls and boys aged between four and eighteen.
This was shortly followed by Mayfield SPARK Camps which take place during the Easter and Summer holidays. SPARK Camps are exciting, fun and educational holiday programmes for children from Reception to Year 9. On arrival all children are given a coloured SPARK t-shirt to wear throughout their time at SPARK so that they can clearly identify which programme they are on.
For more information please contact Mayfield SPARK Manager, Lynette Le Richie, firstname.lastname@example.org.
SPARK Camps are specialised holiday camps held at Mayfield School for boys and girls aged 4 - 14 years.
The children have fully supervised access to the School’s superb facilities, including a 25m indoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, astroturf (including athletics track), cookery rooms, the newly refurbished IT suite and outstanding art, textiles and ceramics rooms. The welcoming and enclosed Lower School, where the children can be closely monitored, makes an ideal base for SPARK Camps. In addition to well-equipped classrooms and a separate library, it has toilet facilities and a refreshment area for break times.
Courses tailored to each stage of a child's development
Younger children from Reception to Year 3 follow a timetable of activities from 9.00am – 3.30pm. In the Summer only there is a special camp for pre-school children (Minis), who are due to start school shortly. This course, known as Minis, can take up to eight children.
For older children, from Year 4 to Year 9, we offer a range of individual courses, designed to develop each individual's unique potential. These include science, textiles, hockey, netball, swimming, geography, cookery, pottery, drama and art.
