Public Use of the Swimming Pool

Mayfield School Swimming Pool is a detached building within the School grounds. Pool dimensions are 25 metres x 9.75 metres with a maximum depth of 2.5 metres and minimum depth of 1 metre. Water depth notices are displayed on the beams at the sides and ends of the pool.

Public Swimming Sessions

For the local community, lane and recreational swimming sessions are held on:

Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings from  18:30 to 20.00

Access to these sessions may be gained through purchasing:

Swimming Vouchers:
pack of 10 priced at £40.00

Swimming Pool Permit
allowing the recipient/recipients access to swimming at all public sessions for a four-month period from date of purchase.
Single Adult £65.00
Adult Couple £120.00
Family £150.00

All public sessions are for recreational lane swimming only and therefore are unsuitable for children wishing to “play”. However, children under sixteen years of age who are competent swimmers able to participate in lane swimming will be allowed free entry with permit / voucher holders.

NB maximum one child per permit holder

Swimming permits and vouchers may be obtained from the School Office between 09:00 and 12:00 and 13:30 and 16:00 Monday to Friday. 


Private Bookings

The pool is available for community use, private bookings and commercial events.


Lifeguards

Lifeguards must be present whenever the pool is in use and will be supplied by the School unless the organisation can provide evidence of their own staff holding recognised and current lifesaving qualifications.
