House life is rooted in the values of the School - care and respect for one another, charity and forgiveness. The heart of each House lies in the joy and delight the girls derive from each other’s company. Friendships are formed here which last long after our girls have left Mayfield. At Mayfield, we endeavour to live by our motto of ‘Actions Not Words’ in all areas of school life and in all interactions with others. Our primary focus is to provide an excellent education based on the seven Cornelian Principles laid out by Cornelia Connelly when she founded the School, and to prepare students for the world beyond Mayfield.

Health and Wellbeing

Our School Health Centre provides care to all boarders and day girls. The Health Centre is staffed by registered nurses who offer 24/7 cover during term time.

Our experienced Senior Nurse, Mrs Debbie Streeter, leads the Health Centre team. The girls are also able to see the Mayfield General Practitioners at their surgery three times a week.

All girls are requested to keep the Health Centre staff up to date with any holiday illnesses or accidents in order to ensure they receive good follow-up care.
