Welcome to St Leonards-Mayfield School (or 'Mayfield', as it is often known), a leading independent Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. We hope the video below, along with the rest of the website, will give you a clear sense of why we are so proud of our school and the pupils we have on roll. Our latest ISI inspection report confirms that the quality of education at the School is outstanding, and Country Life magazine described St Leonards-Mayfield School as, ‘one of the finest schools in the land.’ Please take the time to find out why.

The website will quickly reveal that there is no Mayfield type. Ours is a community that thrives precisely because it attracts and serves such a diverse range of individuals. Our academic scholars invariably achieve outstanding public examination results and places at the very best universities, but our impressive and measurable record for offering a value-added education illustrates our dedication to helping each and every pupil to find strengths and overcome weaknesses. Our excellent reputation for the creative and performing arts is a source of great pride, yet so many of our students will go on to study medicine, the sciences, social sciences and humanities at university. Competitiveness is evident amongst many of our pupils, particular in sports, but so too is compassion through charitable work, a strong sense of faith, and a real desire to forge friendships which will last a lifetime.
