Award winning author delights Year 10 and 11 pupils
Award winning author, Lucy Christopher, delighted girls in Years 10 and 11 on Tuesday 4 October with an entertaining insight into ‘the story behind her stories’.
Miss Christopher described the creative writing process she adopted when writing her two very different novels, Stolen and Flyaway, explaining how her ideas and characters developed over a period of time. The talk included a question and answer session, followed by a book-signing which proved to be very popular.
Commenting on Miss Christopher’s visit, Poppy Edwards, said: “We were straight away compelled by her enthusiastic and cheerfulness towards us. We all listened intently to her telling us about the book and how she came up with the plot and how she developed her ideas.”
