Spark Welcome

The Mayfield SPARK programme was established in 2014 to offer children in the local community a variety of creative, sporting and academic opportunities. The programme began with SPARK Dance, a Saturday morning class during term-time for girls and boys aged between 4 and 18, which was closely followed by Mayfield SPARK Camps during the Easter and Summer holidays.

SPARK Camps are exciting, fun and educational holiday programmes for boys and girls aged 5 to 13. The children have fully supervised access to the School’s superb facilities, including a 25m indoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, astroturf (including athletics track), cookery rooms, IT suites, and outstanding art, textiles and ceramics classrooms.  The welcoming and enclosed Lower School, where the children are closely monitored, provides an ideal location for SPARK Camps. In addition to well-equipped classrooms, there are toilet facilities and a refreshment area for break times.

Courses tailored to each stage of a child's development

Younger children from Reception to Year 2 follow a timetable of activities from 09:00 to 16:00 which is divided into seven different sessions throughout the day. These include, science, maths, music, and educational play, covering a wide range of topics, with a different theme each week.

For children in Years 3 to 8, we offer a range of individual courses designed to develop their unique potential. These include science, hockey, netball, swimming, geography, cookery, drama, art and many more.
