My Story So Far...
At Mayfield we are very proud of our alumnae and their achievements. We hope you will enjoy reading a small selection of their stories so far.
Chelsea Henshaw
Class of 2018
"From Year 7, we were actively encouraged to take part in a wide variety of activities and to try new things so that we could get a feel for what we liked. I really benefited from broadening my experiences at Mayfield. I was introduced to new things and have enjoyed the opportunity to develop my interests and talents."
Harriet Minter
Class of 2000 is a journalist and broadcaster, specialising in female leadership. Harriet founded and edited the Guardian's Women in Leadership section, which focuses on women in the workplace, and now writes for them on Women in Tech. She is also a columnist for Psychologies magazine and hosts The Badass Women's Hour on TalkRadio. She has also written for publications including The Times, Huffington Post, and The Pool.
Catherine Whitlock
Class of 1983
"Making life-long friendships would be top of the list, closely followed by music. I sang in Schola with Mr Pont and have sung ever since. The power of a good and influential teacher is often stated but not overrated."
Giovanna Forte
Class of 1981 is a Medtech entrepreneur who co-founded Forte Medical with her brother Dr Vincent Forte, retired NHS GP. Their ambition was to bring Vincent’s innovation Peezy Midstream to clinical settings the world over, transforming an overlooked but common routine diagnostic process whilst improving infection control, patient safety and introducing cost-savings. All of this whilst helping to fight the growing crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
