Psychology

Psychology is the science of mind, behaviour and experience.

The mind is something intangible that exists within our brain. The unseen process of enzymes, chemicals and electrical current moving within the structure of our neural networks, dictates the way we feel, think and behave. Psychology attempts to describe and explain why we behave the way we do as individuals and as groups, giving our students a better understanding of the behaviour of others

Studying Psychology enables pupils to reflect on these explanations, research findings, and how our understanding of human behaviour has changed over time. It is a science where cutting-edge research has real world applications to everyday life.

This well-regarded A Level is known for its academic rigour. It develops critical thinking skills, the analysis and interpretation of data, research skills, and the ability to present a reasoned argument.
