School Travel Service
The School Minibus Service
The School provides a minibus service across Sussex and Kent for our students. The transport schedule and times alter each academic year as we try to accommodate the needs of new students, though variations to existing routes cannot be guaranteed. To view our current stops or book onto the service please go to https://mayfieldgirls.vectare.co.uk
Additional Information
- The above routes are reviewed each year during the summer holidays.
- All our minibus drivers are professional drivers, which means they hold a full D1 classification on their licence. To acquire this classification, our drivers have taken an additional theory, hazard awareness and practical test. They also attend periodic CPC training courses to keep their licence valid.
- All drivers have had DBS Enhanced checks and have regular medical checks in compliance with VOSA/ROSPA (government guidelines).
- All our vehicles are maintained to a high standard. Daily vehicle safety checks are carried out and we have a reporting system so that any defects are rectified immediately.
The London Service
For boarders who live in London and wish to return home at the weekends, a School minibus departs Mayfield for The Old Vic Theatre at 16:45 on Friday afternoons and collects from the Old Vic at 17:00 on Sundays for the return journey. Day pupils may also use this service.
